Combo Counter Machine

A hybrid build centred on combos and counters. Attacks trigger chains of retaliatory damage that scale with hit count.

Overview

The Combo Counter Machine doesn’t commit to a single element — instead it exploits the combo and counter systems to deal massive retaliatory damage. Combo Breaker doubles your combo hits, while Cross Counter delivers devastating counters when you’re at low HP. This build excels in extended fights where every enemy attack becomes fuel for your counteroffensive.

Core Skills (Priority Order)

  1. Multi Strike (Common) - Increases combo chance. Your foundation.
  2. Counterstrike (Common) - Increases counter chance. Second foundation.
  3. Combo Mastery (Legendary, S) - Massively boosts combo damage.
  4. Counterstrike Mastery (Legendary, S) - Massively boosts counter damage.
  5. Combo Breaker (Mythic, S) - Double combo hits. Your biggest power spike.
  6. Cross Counter (Mythic, S) - Devastating counters at low HP. Rewards aggressive play.
  7. Critical Mastery (Legendary, S) - Combos and counters can all crit.

Supporting Skills

  • Improved Combo (Common) - More combo damage baseline.
  • Improved Counterstrike (Common) - More counter damage baseline.
  • Triple Threat (Mythic, S+) - Extra attack procs. More attacks = more combo/counter chances.
  • Enhanced Reflexes (Mythic, A) - Dodge chance + counter on dodge.
  • Backlash (Common) - Guaranteed counter on round 1.
  • Phoenix (Mythic, S+) - Cross Counter rewards being at low HP — Phoenix lets you play that edge safely.

Strategy Tips

  • This build wants long fights. Every exchange of blows generates combos and counters.
  • Cross Counter at low HP is risky but incredibly powerful. Pair with Phoenix for a safety net.
  • Combo Breaker is a multiplicative upgrade — it doubles the number of combo hits, each of which procs your combo damage bonuses.
  • This build works as a foundation for ANY elemental build. Add bolt/fire/ice as secondary and your combos proc those elements too.
  • In Raids, this build is versatile. It works in any party composition.
  • Enhanced Reflexes is sneaky strong here — dodging an attack AND countering from it is double value.

One of the most versatile builds in the game. Works standalone or as the backbone of any elemental hybrid. Combo Breaker + Cross Counter is one of the strongest mythic combos available.
