Overview
Toxic Torment is the premier poison build. It stacks poison on enemies that ticks for increasing damage over time, and Poison Catalyst ensures poisoned enemies take bonus damage from all sources. While the poison skill pool is smaller than bolt or fire, each skill is high impact. This build punishes long fights — the longer the enemy lives, the worse it gets for them.
Core Skills (Priority Order)
- Vile Strike (Common) - Applies poison stacks on attack.
- Poison Catalyst (Legendary, A) - Poisoned enemies take increased damage. Your biggest multiplier.
- Poison Expertise (Mythic, S) - +15% poison damage. Requires 5 poison tags.
- Vile Knife (Common) - Adds poison to knife throws for hybrid damage.
- Weaken (Legendary, A) - Debuffs enemy stats, stacks with poison’s attrition playstyle.
Supporting Skills
- Throwing Knife (Common) - Enables Vile Knife for extra poison application.
- Boost ATK (Common) - Scales all poison damage.
- Critical Mastery (Legendary) - Poison ticks can crit for huge damage.
- Combo Breaker (Mythic) - More hits means more poison stacks.
Strategy Tips
- Poison is a ramp build — early rounds are slow but damage snowballs quickly.
- Poison Catalyst is the #1 priority legendary. It turns poison from a tickle into a nuke.
- Vile Knife + Throwing Knife gives you two independent poison sources. Double the stacking speed.
- Weaken is your force multiplier — debuffed enemies take more damage from poison ticks.
- The poison pool is small, so you’ll fill remaining slots with general power skills. That’s fine — fewer decisions means a consistent build path.

Strong in boss fights and long encounters. Limited skill pool means fewer build choices but a clear upgrade path. Slightly weaker in short AoE fights compared to Fire or Bolt.
